The client:
The client is a solution provider for fleet scheduling optimization and territory design solutions for time and cost-sensitive distribution, pickup and delivery businesses.


The Challenge:
The development of the client's system happened over a period of about two years, and was not governed by any structured development process. As a result, the real levels of quality were not accurately known and the supporting documents for the suite were also not available. The client approached Sopra India to carry out an Architectural review of the application and generate documents that could be useful for future development, enhancement and maintenance of the suite.


The Solution:

• A customized Project Management Plan and project lifecycle were created to meet the limited scope of the project
• Remote application walkthrough sessions were conducted to help the team ramp up on domain knowledge
• There was agreement on the evaluation criteria to determine the technical health of the application in collaboration with the client
• There was agreement on the level of detail and the manner of description for the design knowledge uncovered
• There was agreement on the documentation contents and the structure for the various artifacts created during the reverse engineering of the application
